Trawling process and more

Trawling is a very common activity for commercial purposes wherein a different kind of fishing net is used to catch fishes on a large scale. This fishing net is known as trawl which is tied behind these large boats and ships and pulled over from under the water. These boats are known as trawlers and this whole of process is known as trawling. This is a very different process from the regular fishing by these local fishermen. The trawl that is being used is basically very different and unique from the regular types of fishing nets. They are huge in size and very strong and tough as it is specially made to catch fishes in large quantity of various sizes.

These are special made to order trawls which is being made and maintained by the related companies. These big fisheries and fishing companies are tied up with these companies for their trawl requirements on frequent basis. Since these companies have to meet the global demand of fishes on daily basis, they own huge boats and ships along with various trawls for the same purpose. Single ship trawling is very common where the trawl is just left under the water and pulled against the long way. Though double ship crawling is also practiced by some companies where in the trawl is being tied up at the back of one boat and the front of the second boat.

Single boat trawling is easy and cheap as the diesel required to pull the trawl is less as compared to the double boat trawling where in the same process is carried on by the two boats. Usually two boats are used when the trawl is extremely large and the quantity of fishes expected is extremely on a higher side than the usual ones.
